Harbour Master - Mark Wakelin LLB. MNI

Mark was brought up in sailing barges and traditional craft in the Essex rivers. After time at sea in coasting vessels he qualified as a marine solicitor. He has served as Harbour Master at Padstow, Cornwall, in Scotland and on the South Coast and was for twelve years Chief Navigation Officer for the Broads Authority. He is a keen recreational sailor.

Elaine Hawksworth - Office Manager

The backbone of the Authority's day to day administration mechanism with more knowledge of its workings than any other person in the Authority.She is responsible for ensuring that the Authority runs smoothly and efficiently.

Joanne Duck - Administrative Asst

An experienced secretary with a number of London Companies, and joined the Authority to assist in running the Harbour Office. Her main responsibility being the collection of and advice on Harbour Dues

Robin Mapes - Senior Coxswain

Formerly of the Merchant Marine and more recently the boatswain of the Royal Burnham Yacht Club. With his extensive knowledge of the Crouch & Roach he is the most experienced member of the Authority

 

Peter Vannuffel - Coxswain

Formerly an Inspector with a large bus company & an experienced safety boat coxswain, he is the 2nd boatman with the Harbour Launch and as the holder of the appropriate RYA certification he is also the Authority's RIB driver
